Andy Ruiz Jr has transformed his body ahead of his historical rematch against Anthony Joshua. The fight comes up on December 7, 2019 at the Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia.
Ruiz stunned the world on June 1, 2019 when he handed AJ his first ever defeat at the Madison Square Garden in New York City.
A rematch scheduled for December probably propelled Ruiz to work on his body, as it looks obvious that Anthony Joshua is favourite to win.
Givemesports.com reports that “one look at Ruiz’s body transformation in recent months suggests that the Englishman will be facing a fitter and faster opponent this time around”.
The source added: “Fellow heavyweight Michael Hunter – who will face Alexander Povetkin on the Ruiz vs Joshua undercard – tweeted a picture of him and the Mexican sitting down after sparring”.
“While he doesn’t possess the sculpted, adonis physique of Joshua, he looks in great shape”.
More so, there are speculations that the Mexican was tricking everyone with his weight loss after a photo of the Mexican in a t-shirt looking slim went viral according to the source.
However, Ruiz must be ready to face a different Anthony Joshua when the duo meet in a fight where AJ will fight like a wounded Lion to regain his titles back.
