Egypt and Ivory Coast have both qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics games in men football, after the two teams won their semifinal matches in the Total U-23 AFCON.
Ivory Coast edged Ghana after penalties by 3-2 to reach the final, while host Egypt mauled South Africa 3-0 to also reach the final in the second semifinal match. The two teams by reaching the final set up a final clash which will be played on Friday.
But what seems more important to the two teams is that they have picked the two automatic slots for Africa. Ghana and South Africa will also play the third place match on Friday.
The winner in the third-place match picks the third available slot for Africa at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
