However, Sobhi was also quick to add that it was too early to talk about who will join the squad for Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

“I also think its too early to talk about the players who will join us in Tokyo, we have 21 fighters in our squad (at the Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations) and they have done amazing job in the tournament”.

“But it is too early to talk about whether I will pick him to be with us in Tokyo 2020 Olympics. I will think about the players that my team need and then I will announce” BBC Sport quoted Gharib.

Egypt will face Ivory Coast in the final of the U-23 AFCON to know who lifts the continental trophy. However, both teams have qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
