The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up in the FIFA ranking released for the male national teams by the world governing football body.
Nigeria were previously 35 in the month of October with 1481 points. The recent ranking showed that the team moved up to 31st position with 1493 points.
Two back-to-back win in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier for 2021 may have played an important role in the rise. The team have made progress and remain Africa’s number 3 on the FIFA ranking table.
Senegal remain Africa’s no 1 with 1555 points and are placed in 20th position on the ranking table, while Tunisia which is second are 27th with 1506 points.
As for the top five in the World they still retain their position. Belgium is first with 1765 points, France second with 1733 points, Brazil third with 1712 points, England fourth with 1661 points while Uruguay fifth with 1645 points.
