Argentina overturned a first-half 1-0 lead against Cameroon to grab their first three points and reduced the chances of the African champions qualification to the round of 16.
Cameroon went into the game determined to get a victory after losing their first match to Tajikistan. They took the lead in the first 10 minutes of the game, hoping to sustain it in the second-half.
However, things turned around in the second-half as the South Americans scored three goals in the 58′, 63′ and 88′ respectively to give the African champions a heavy blow.
The result means Argentina’s hope of qualification looks bright, while that of Cameroon is dimmed.
Cameroon are now faced with an uphill task of beating Spain in their last group stage match to keep their hopes of qualifying alive.
