Canada says it will not send Athletes to Tokyo 2020 Olympics because of Corona Risk.

However, the World Athletics boss Coe had earlier made a statement which suggests that the safety of lives of athletes is paramount and holding the games amidst coronavirus is not dangerous.

In his statement, Coe said : “As I said last week, I don’t think we should have the Olympic Games at all costs. Certainly not at the cost of athletes”.

The clamour to have the Tokyo 2020 Olympics delayed has become a chorus. The International Olympics Committee (IOC) is set to start discussion on possible postponement of the Tokyo Olympics.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics was initially billed to hold from July 24 to August 9, 2020.
