Africa’s number one table tennis player Aruna Quadri has come out to state the importance of health for athletes who must be at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics.
In a chat with Sports Intelligence Magazine, Aruna who spoke on the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics to 2021 due to the outbreak of the coronavirus praised the IOC for their decision.
“Our Health must Come first and main priority should be given to it, because health is wealth”, Aruna started, “IOC decision to postpone the Olympics games is the best”.
When asked on what he is currently doing following the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics due to the coronavirus, Aruna said: “I keep exercising daily and this is the best way to keep fit until everything is over, of course I am positive that this will end soon”.
He however concluded by advising all to embrace personal hygiene by saying :”Lets be the best we can be”. “Stay hydrated, practice good hygiene and stay healthy by staying safe”
Aruna who played in the Portuguese league for 10 years recently signed a new contract with TTC RhönSprudel Maberzell Fulda of German Bundesliga and will be representing the club from September 2020.
