National Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) Rev. Samuel Ikpea has joined the football community in Nigeria to mourn the untimely death of Bendel Insurance goalkeeper.
Umar Amar Jalingo died after a brief illness and this has thrown the football community into mourning.
Rev. Samuel Ikpea who was shocked on the death of Umar described his death as a big loss to Nigerian Football.
“It is quite unfortunate we are facing another death situation”. “We have experienced several deaths since this year in football community, and now another one”
“I think it is important we give adequate attention to medical” Ikpea noted. “This is another death situation and the League management must up their game” he added.
“The game of football must give us joy, but unfortunately we have recorded sad moments in recent times”.
Rev. Samuel Ikpea prayed for the deceased, asking God to give the family left behind the fortitude to bear the loss. Left to mourn him are his wife and four children.
Ikpea also consoled the Chairman of the Bendel Insurance Football Club Mr Julius Ihonvbere, who also doubles as the Edo State chapter of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club.
