Kelechi Iheanacho’s late goal turned the game around for Leicester City as they beat Brighton and Hove Albion 1-0 to reach the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.
Iheanacho whose goal was the fourth shots on target of the match ensured the game did not go into extra time.
His goal also made him the Man of the Match. It was also his 11th FA Cup goal on his 17th appearance in the competition, and his first since January 2020 against Brentford.
Leicester City have also reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1968-69. A feat which Iheanacho’s goal must be remembered for.
Aside these, Leicester have remain unbeaten in eight matches in all competitions against Brighton. They have won six and drew 2,conceding just twice in this run.
Leicester City will now host defending Champions Liverpool on Saturday in Premier League match.
