Manchester are extremely close to becoming champions of the English premier league for the 2020/2021 season with eight matches left for them to end the season.
However, City will need to win just five of the eight matches left to become champions with 86 points.
They currently lead the table with 14 points ahead of Manchester United, though United still have an outstanding at hand.
Though they need five victories, United and Leicester City may however reduce the five to four, should these two teams drop points during this period and City continue winning.
This will be Manchester City’s third premier league title in five years, with Coach Pep Guardiola taking credit for this outstanding performance.
They won the last two in 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 season. They finished second behind Liverpool in 2019/2020 season, before coming back to pursue their third title in five years.
Prior to Manchester City coming top, six clubs had tasted the top position but could not hold firm to it.
The six clubs are Arsenal (week1), Everton (week 4,5,6), Manchester United (week 17,18,19). Others are Leicester City (weeks 2,3,8), Tottenham and Liverpool (weeks 7, 13,14,15,16).
