The National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) Rev. ((Amb) Samuel Ikpea has congratulated Muslims all over Nigeria and in diaspora as they join their fellow Muslims celebrate the Eidel-Kabir.
Ikpea who spoke with Sports Intelligence Magazine correspondent said this celebration should be used as an opportunity to seek peace in the country, and he charged Muslim faithful to pray for peace in the country during this celebration.
“We congratulate all Muslim faithful at home and in Diaspora” he started. “The celebration is significant, it’s coming at a time when we seek peace in the nation”.
“We need peace in football and other Sports, as we have heard news of attacks and accidents of footballers in recent time”. “This is not really good for the development of the game and prayers must be continuous particularly at this point ” he added.
“There is need to pray for our football administrators as well, so that they can lead us towards the direction of the development of the game” he concluded.
