The National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) Rev (Amb) Samuel Ikpea has sent words of encouragement to Nigerians charging all to be faithful and believe in the nation.
Ikpea who spoke with Sports Intelligence Magazine from the national secretariat of the foremost supporters club in Lagos has this to say:
“We need to thank God for witnessing another independence celebration”. “It is worthy of celebrating, particularly as we are all alive and believe in the nation”.
“Nigeria football is a brand that is appreciated and respected everywhere in the world, and the fact that we are Nigerians should give us that joy”.
“Football has kept us together; we cannot be divided when we have a single uniting factor”. “It is important we still believe in our team, as we look forward to the AFCON 2021 which comes up in Cameroon next year and the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup”.
“We need to believe in the aspirations and programmes of the Amaju Pinnick-led NFF administration as well as the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development Mr. Sunday Dare” Ikpea Insisted.
“They mean well for us, and our support is needed”. “As Nigeria’s foremost supporters club, we shall stand by their programmes and believe that Nigeria Sports shall prevail.
While still supporting the development of Nigerian football and Sports generally, Rev. Samuel also prayed that the efforts of every Nigerians be blessed with bountiful efforts, while peace and harmony remains the order of the day.
