Super Eagles interim manager Austin Eguavoen has described the Roumde Adjia Stadium pitch as good ahead of the opener against Egypt which comes up today.
Speaking during an inspection of the pitch yesterday, the Eagles gaffer who took a walk on the pitch said “It looks greener, looks good, feels good as well”.
For Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa, he simply said, “The pitch is good and good for football”. Moses Simon simply described it as “Fantastic”, while Kelechi Nwakali simly said it is okay.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria face seven times champions Egypt at the Roumde Adjia stadium in Garoua today, in a group D opener that will see the two sides lock horns together in the 33rd edition of AFCON.
Super Eagles of Nigeria will be looking forward to secure an outright win against the Pharaohs of Egypt to enable them keep their AFCON title dream alive.
