Brilliant Relaxer FC Showed Consistency In Their Build Up As They Reached Two Consecutive Finals To Win Their First Title
Relaxer FC reached their second final in two years to win their first ever title with a 1-0 win over ambitious Make Up Remover FC in the SoulMate Champions of Interest League.
It was a moment of joy for a team which suffered same result in their loss last year when Sublime Natural FC beat them 1-0 to win the trophy.
But brilliancy and consistency is one name which Relaxer FC represents in this edition as they proved to be champion of SoulMate.
First, they got their pound of flesh in the semifinal as they bundled out Sublime Natural in a 1-0 defeat, to set the tone for their second final.
Though they conceded last season in the semifinal and final, but keeping a clean sheet at that same stage in this edition proved they had improved and must be crowned champions of SoulMate.
Only a good team will lose in a first final and reach a second consecutive final to win, and that was the kind of quality which they showed.
Make up Remover FC who reached their first final in two years handed Body Crème FC a 2-0 defeat. Though it was their first final, but they obviously live to fight again.
Sublime Natural FC: A Defending Champion Without A Mission
Sadly, the defending champions Sublime Natural FC who clinched the title last season were woeful in this edition.
They confirmed what analysts had always postulated that success in football is good, but developing or improving on that success was the most difficult task in the game.
Aside losing by 1-0 to Relaxer FC in the semifinal, they suffered another defeat in the third place play-off as Body Crème FC beat them by 1-0 to win the third place and strip them of all the glory which they came to the tournament with.
If there is anything Sublime Natural FC have to worry about, it is the fact that they failed to score a single goal in the semifinal and final while they scored at least one goal each last season at those levels.
More so, they have been stripped off the title of Official Sports Brand For SoulMate, a new brand has taken over and that brand is Relaxer FC.
Relaxer FC Becomes Official Sport Brand
Success comes with a lot of things and one of the attributes which Relaxer FC will enjoy by winning is that they have become the Official Sport Brand of SoulMate.
If the brand managers in charge of Relaxers must look up to an ultimate selling point for the next one year in the market sales, then they have to pride themselves as champions of SoulMate.
They came very close to it last season but lost it, they now need to enjoy the adulation of being the best brand of the company and make the best out of it.
In the female category final, Styling Gel FC won Mayonnaise FC 1-0 to become the female champion for the 2021 edition.
