The National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) Rev. Samuel Ikpea has described the Super Eagles of Nigeria as a re-birth of the golden generation.
Ikpea who spoke with Sports Intelligence Magazine after the impressive 3-1 victory of the team over Sudan in Cameroon said its a dream come true.
“This team gives us the memory of the Super Eagles we used to know in the early 90’s” Ikpea started. “They have got flair, confidence and above all determination”.
“This was the type of game we watched then under Westerhof, when everyone closes their business to go watch the Super Eagles whenever they have a match”.
“I am really proud of them and the Nigeria Football Supporters Club who are here in Cameroon will continue to give them support.
Nigeria beat Sudan 3-1 to go top of group D and have also picked a round of 16 ticket, with one match left against Guinea Bissau.
