The duo of Chelsea and Manchester City may likely clash in the semifinal of the 2021/2022 Champions League if both sides scale through their quarterfinals opponents.
Chelsea will face 13 time champions Real Madrid in the quarterfinal, and if they triumph, they will be through to the semifinal.
While Man City will face Atletico with hopes of avenging their defeat of their Manchester neigbhour United who was sent packing by the Spanish giants.
Should the two English sides overpower the two Spanish giants, they will meet again for their second and third time in Europe.
Their earlier two-legged meeting at the Premier League this season had gone in favour of City, with the league leaders beating Chelsea 1-0 in both legs.
The first time both sides met at the Champions League was in the final of last season’s champions league, and it was Chelsea who won by 1-0 to win their second European title.
