Ikpea Salutes Media Practitioners On World Press Freedom Day

National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club Rev. (Amb) Samuel Ikpea has congratulated media practitioners in the country as they join their counterparts all over the world in celebrating the World Press Freedom day.

Ikpea who spoke exclusively with Sports Intelligence Magazine, said Sports in Nigeria would have been in a worse situation in the country if the media had not been up and doing

The NFSC boss who recently added another feather to become the ambassador of the Nigeria Taekwondo Supporters Club said there is still room for the Nigerian Media to improve and charged them to show professionalism in all they do.

Ikpea also congratulated Muslims in the country on the Eid-el-Fitr 2022 and thanked them for their prayers towards promoting peace in the country while he enjoined them to remember the Media in Nigeria in their prayers.

He also did not fail to mention that objectivity, fairness and investigation is really key and charged the media to continue their good job without sentiment.

“The Media at all times need to be given their freedom, but in enjoying their freedom, practitioners need to ensure that they do not resolve to blackmail” he concluded.
