The Super Eagles of Nigeria have suffered another injury ahead of their 2023 AFCON qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe today.
Reports from Complete Sports confirmed that Innocent Bonke was ruled out of the Super Eagles match against Sao Tome and Principe.
The 26-year-old Lorient FC of France midfielder who picked an injury during Nigeria’s 2-1 loss to Mexico jetted out to France on Saturday for further treatment.
The situation means he will not be available for selection and has since been replaced by Katsina United defender Sani Faisal.
Recall that Vice Captain William Troost-Ekong has also been ruled out of the game due to injury..
The Watford defender also sustained the injury in Nigeria’s 2-1 over Sierra Leone in AFCON qualifier on Thursday.
