Remo Stars beat Lobi Stars 3-1 in week 34 of the Nigeria Professional Football League at their home ground in Ikenne.
The match which could be best described as a battle of two stars gave the Ikenne based side an opportunity to establish their supremacy over Lobi Stars.
Sikiru opened the scoring for the home side in the 18’ minutes to give them a lead which they held on to till half time.
In the second half the visiting side leveled up through Odinaka goal in 61′ to put the score line at 1-1, but Oto’s goal three minutes after ensured the home side took a second lead.
Second half substitute Anakwe put his name on the score sheet in 77’
minutes to make it 3-1 for the home side and that that was the goal
that put an end to the Stars battle.
Remo got a vital three points in the stars battle, a win which also saw them move go third position on the league table with four matches to end the season.
They are however closely trailed by Enugu Rangers who have 52 points and one point behind Remo Stars.
