Bayern Munich have joined the list of clubs wanting to have the signature of Super Eagles and Napoli’s forward Victor Osimhen, according to Italian tabloid Il Mattino.
The German champions are the fourth top-flight European League club to be linked with Osimhen after Manchester United, Newcastle United and Arsenal.
The source disclosed that the German giants have made enquiries about the Nigerian international and have also considered him as a perfect replacement for Robert Lewandowski who has moved to Barcelona.
The Italian outlet further revealed that despite the interest shown by the Bavarians, they may not be willing to pay a 100 million euro fee for the Nigerians while they are still monitoring the situation.
Bayern are the first team to have qualified for the Champions League and are asking for his signature; the other three clubs are not going to participate in the Champions League.
Since arriving at Napoli and making a huge impact on the club, Osimhen has become the toast of Napoli fans, who now wait at the gate to get his autograph after every pre-season training session.
Osimhen has played in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg from 2017-2019, hence coming to the German league may not pose so much even though he had a brief appearance during his stint with Wolfsburg where he made just 14 appearances in two seasons, scoring no goals.
