Brazilian giants, Santos football, has appointed the National Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) Rev. (Amb) Samuel Ikpea as its Nigerian Ambassador.
The appointment of the well-grounded sports administrator was made known by Mr. Max Pedro,Santos Football Club Ambassador to Nigeria during the unveiling of the trophy to be used for the Abisco Cup football tournament which took place at the Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development in Alimosho, Lagos, Nigeria.
While announcing the appointment, Pedro who also presented a Santos F.C customized jersey to Ikpea said his commitment towards building a good relationship between Santos F.C and Nigeria was the thrust behind his appointment, as this would further encourage him to continue building this relationship.
He further disclosed that the Abisco Cup football tournament, which was one of the reasons the Santos F.C 14-man delegation visited Nigeria, will give room for scouts to pick the best performing players during the tournament for trials in Brazil.
The Abisco Cup Football tournament is a 32-team football tournament organized by the Chairperson of the Mosan-Okunola LCDA council in Lagos Hon. (Princess) Olabisi Adebajo . It will start on November 15, 2022 and will be played on the main pitch of the council.
