Head Coach of Enugu Rangers, Abdul Maikaba has called on the management of the club and the Enugu state government to terminate his contract on mutual agreement.
Maikaba stated this after his side’s 1-1 home draw against Sunshine Stars of Akure, requesting that he would appreciate to have a meeting with the state government before the next league game.
“We have worked so hard to make sure we improve the performance of Rangers”.”Unfortunately, things are not going as planned” he started.
“I would like before our next game, if it’s possible to meet with the representatives of Enugu State, to terminate my contract “
“I have been treated very well by this team and I love this team, but if I am the problem, then it will be fine if my contract is terminated on mutual consent” he concluded.
Since start of the 2022/2023 season, Rangers have failed to secure a win in all their last three matches.
The best result they have secured so far is a draw against Akwa United on Sunday.
