NWFL: Nine Referees Suspended For Poor Officiating

The Nigeria Referee Association (NRA) has announced the suspension of three NWFL Premiership Centre Referees and their assistants indefinitely and have been summoned to appear before the Referee’s Committee to answer questions relating to poor Officiating in three matches in which they were in charge. 

The three matches where the poor officiating were adjudged are:

Osun Babes Vs Delta Queens. Adamawa Queens Vs Nasarawa Amazons

Their suspension was contained in an official Press release issued by the Secretary of the NRA on Monday, the 16th of January 2023. The three Centre Referees Joy Ogunboye from the Ondo Referee Association, Beatrice Paul from the Taraba Referee Association and Olufunke Adesola from the Oyo Referee Association were all suspended indefinitely.

The Assistant Referees Suspended also are Olusi Kikelomo, Ajirotutu Esther all from Ondo State, Elizabeth Yunusa Gombe and Wurba Bwulli Ruth from Plateau State, Rofiat Abdulrasheed and Aladenika Adetutu from Oyo and Ondo respectively.
