Nigeria To Host 2023 Edition of African Skating Championship

The Rollers Sports Federation of Nigeria has been assigned to host the 2023 edition of the African Championship, which is expected to take place from Wednesday August 2nd to Sunday August 6th, 2023 in the city of Lagos, Nigeria.

According to a letter from World Skate Africa, dated January 25, 2023 and addressed to the President of the Nigeria Federation, Dr. Alex Sule Mana, which was made available to Sports Intelligence Magazine, it stated that two (2) African Championships will be simultaneously organized during the five (5) days of competition.

The two (2) disciplines selected for the five-day championships are as follows:

  • 6th African Inline Speed Skating Championships;
  • 4th African Inline Freestyle Skating Championships.

The World Skate, Africa chapter while congratulating Nigeria on the hosting rights allocated to it, further reminded her that the Executive Committee of the World Skate Africa will hold its Ordinary Congress on Tuesday, August 1st in Lagos, as a prelude to the five-day event.

The city of Lagos, Nigeria has a proven track record in hosting continental and global events and World Skate Africa believes that Nigeria will live up to expectations in making the event a success.
