The Coordinator of the South-East Rugby Association (SERA), Princess Alban Ugonwaezeh-Agugo has been appointed as Special Adviser on Youth and Sports of the Anaocha Local Government Area.
The appointment which took immediate effect is contained in a letter addressed to Princess Alban Ugonwaezeh-Agugo dated September 13th, 2023 and signed by the Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Chairman Hon. Ozoh Ikechukwu Gerald and made available to Sports Intelligence Magazine.
Princess Alban Ugonwaezeh who was appointed in June 2023 as a member of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) Women & Sport Commission will be expected to also pay special attention to the development of the Youth in Anaocha LGA, as this happens to be another feather added to her responsibilities.
She has also been shortlisted as a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, as the award is expected to be presented to her on October 7, 2023 during the annual Anaocha Festival which the 2023 edition will take place at the Anaocha Local Government Headquarters in Neni, Anambra State.
Expressing her joy on the feat, Princess Alban told Sports Intelligence Magazine that “The journey has just began! To God be the glory!
The appointment will prompt her to bring her wealth of experience from international scenes to the local community, where she would make significant contributions towards the development of sports among youth at the grassroots level in Anaocha LGA.
