An NFF Executive member, Rt. Hon Essien Udofot has reacted to calls made by football fans calling for the sack of Super Eagles manager Jose Peseiro, following the poor performance of the team which has made the team managed to secure two points from two World Cup qualifier games against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
Udofot disclosed this vin a chat with renowned Football Writer and content creator, @Adepoju Tobi Samuel, who shared the video on his X account asking that if the Portuguese manager is sacked, who will pay the compensation.
The NFF Executive member also noted that Jose Peseiro was employed by the Ministry of Sports and since he is been owed by the Ministry, it will be difficult to sack him.
@Adepoju TobiSamuel wrote: “We didn’t employ Jose Peseiro, the Ministry of Sports employed him. The Ministry have not paid the coach, if we sack him now, who will pay for the compensation?.”

However, there has been mixed reactions over the response of the NFF executive member, with many believing that the NFF is not being economocial with the truth when it has to do with the terms of contract of the Portuguese manager.
