Lesotho Gets Vital Draw Against Nigeria In World Cup Qualifier Opener

The Crocodiles of Lesotho held the Super Eagles of Nigeria to a 1-1 draw at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo as the World Cup qualifiers begins. Motlomelo Mkwanazi of Lesotho opened scoring in the 56th minute before Semi Ajayi equalised for Nigeria side in the 67th minute to see the game end at that scoreline. Jose Peseiro's side enjoyed about 80 per cent ball possession but failed to make anything out of it against the Crocodiles who were rated 153rd in the World. Sadly, the Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to meet up with the expectations of Nigeria who were hoping that they would overrun their visitors in Uyo.
