Ayo is a popular game among the Yoruba ethnic of Nigeria, though many African countries have adopted the game due to its nature. The game is usually played by two dexterous people, who try to get more seeds. There are twelve holes in the game (six on each sides). Every hole in its turn contains four seeds.

The National Council of Sports has officially endorsed the request made by the Edo State Government to change the 20th National Sports Festival from Benin 2020 to Edo 2020.

Although it was initially awarded as Benin 2020 when Edo beat Delta, Cross-River and Kaduna to win host right.

The change became necessary because the new name will give the entire Edo State indigene a sense of belonging.

The renaming took place at the Edo Heritage Hotel in Benin City between Stake holders of the event.

The games have also been scheduled to run between March 20th-April 3rd 2020.
