National Sports Festival,

The Imo State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) are set to honour his excellency Gov. Emeka Ihedioha (CON).

Governor Ihedioha and 10 others which include the deputy governor of Imo State Mr Gerald Irona  will be honoured during the 2019 IMO SWAN AWARD NIGHT .

The event is expected to take place on Friday 20^th December 2019 at the Rockview Hotel in Owerri from 7:30 pm, under the distinguished chairmanship of Chief Amanze Uchegbulam.

Other recipients of the award are Mr. Fan Ndubuoke, Mr. Fintan Nnaji, Charles Nwokeji, Chief Egboota, Chief Amanze Uchegbulam, Hon. Dozie Julius, Amb Uche Ogbuagu and Chief Ferdinand Amanze.

Also expected at the event is the National President of SWAN Mr. Honour Sirawoo, who will grace the occasion.

It will be recalled that Gov. Ihedioha recently set up heavy weight NSF 2022 Bid committee, saddled with the responsibility of bringing the National Sports Festival to the state in 2022.

The Sport-loving governor is aimed at engaging the youths of the state with sports, with interest in discovering raw talents while also developing the tourists attraction which Imo State prides itself of.
