Race Walking Championship

The World Athletics has confirmed the date which Oman will host the 2022 Race Walking Team Championship,

This is contained in a Press Release issued to Sports Intelligence Magazine on September 7, 2021 via the global body's official email. Recall that on July 28, 2021 during a meeting of the association in Tokyo, the WA assigned Oman to host the Championship for the first time in Muscat, the capital city of Oman. The World Athletics body has now confirmed the date of the event as 4-5 March, 2022. Minsk in Belarus was originally selected to host the event but the World Athletics Council decided to relocate the event after receiving a report prepared by the World Athletics Risk Committee. The event will be organised in partnership by Oman Sail, the Oman Athletics Association and the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
