Ahead of Match days 3 and 4 of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier, the African soccer governing body has given member associations including Nigeria the deadline to submit the stadium they intend to use for their home matches, according to report.
According to a statement issued by the African football governing body on Tuesday, it reads:
"Football associations must select their stadiums and notify CAF of the stadiums no later than February 7, 2023.
If a stadium in your country is not on the list of stadiums pre-approved by the CAF, a pre-inspection of your stadium must be carried out and the report sent to CAF no later than February 10.
We would like to emphasize that only high-level stadiums will be approved", the statement said.
Recall that Matchday 1 and 2 of the competition were held in June 2022 and Nigeria's Super Eagles secured two wins to stay on top of its group.
