Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa has joined the exclusive list of players who hit 100 caps for the national team in today's World Cup qualifier.
The 28-year-old earned his 100th cap for the Super Eagles in a World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Cape Verde at the Aderito Sena Stadium in Cape Verde.
Musa started off in the match as team captain and was later substituted in the 73rd minutes before Nigeria's winner came in 76th minutes through an own goal.
He is the third Super Eagles player to reach the milestone mark after former captains Vincent Enyeama (101) and Joseph Yobo (101).
Though he did not score in the clash, but his 100th cap earned Nigeria a win which comfortably sent the team to top of group c. It is also the first time Nigeria will record a victory in a match where a player reach the 100 caps and this is significant.
Musa has so far recorded15 goals from 100 appearances and remain the only Nigerian to score in two world cups against Argentina.
