Eight teams have so far won the treble of European Cup, league title and biggest domestic cup in the same season, with Barcelona being the only team that have accomplished the feats on two occasions. The Eight teams are:

Based on the current 2018/2019 season the following teams are likely to join the list of these eight teams and become among the elites club in Europe who have accomplished the treble

Ajax: While it may seem a bit unrealistic for Ajax to secure an away victory against defending champions Real Madrid in the second-leg after losing by 2-1 at home in the first-leg, we however respect Ajax as a team that have achieved the treble once in 1971/1972. They have booked a place with Willem II in the final of the League Cup on May 5, and are currently second on the table with two points behind PSV Eindhoven.

Barcelona: They have an opportunity to win the treble for the third time after doing it in 2008/2009 and 2014/2015 season. They have secured a final clash with Valencia in the Copa del Rey on May 25, they are currently on top of the Spanish La Liga with seven points ahead of Atletico and have a greater chance to reach the quarter-final in Camp Nou after a goalless first-leg encounter against Lyon.

Bayern Munich: They will be looking forward to do the treble for a second time after doing it in 2012/2013. They are currently three points behind Dortmund in the Bundesliga, they have a date with Heidenheim on April 3 in the quarter-final of the League Cup at home and have a second-leg clash at home with Liverpool after a goalless first-leg draw in England.

Manchester City: They have currently won the league cup, they have a date with Swansea on March 16 in the quarter-final of the FA Cup, they are in the second position trailing Liverpool by one point in the premier league and have a great chance of reaching the quarter-final of the Champions League after beating Schalke04 in an away match by 3-2 in the first-leg match.
