The Super Falcons of Nigeria will tackle Botswana tomorrow in her second Group C match in the ongoing African Women Championship taking place in Morocco. Nigeria who lost to South Africa in their opener are unfamiliar with Botswana as both sides have never met before. But Botswana who are rated 29th in Africa have sent a warning in their opener, by defeating Burundi 4-2. The win over Burundi dumped Nigeria at the bottom of the table, while Botswana got top of the group but tied on points with South Africa who defeated Nigeria 2-1. Nigeria is now left in a situation where an outright victory is needed in the clash against Botswana to keep their hopes of qualifying from the group alive. However, victory for Botswana against Nigeria means they have scaled through to the knockout stage, while a draw still keeps their hopes alive. Nigeria and Botswana will play on Thursday July 7, 2022 at the Moulay Hassan FUS stadium by 21:00 West African time.
