Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has finally gotten the signature of Dutch forward Steven Bergwijn to fortify his attack according to report from BBC Sport.

The 22-year-old forward who was signed for £27m from PSV Eindhoven has played 16 times for the Dutch Eredivisie this season, scoring five goals.

His new contract with Spurs will run until 2025, and the Dutch is seen by Mourinho as a perfect replacement for Harry Kane who is out with long-term hamstring injury.

The forward who has also earned nine caps for the Dutch national side expressed his happiness to play under Jose Mourinho.

"I think it is an amazing move, an amazing club," Bergwijn told Tottenham's club website.

"When I was a young boy I looked up to the coach, of course Mourinho, and now I play for him.

"You have to believe in yourself and I know what I can bring to this club and this team - I am good with the ball and I can score.

"They play good football and that is what I like, to play here is a dream for me. It is an honour."

Spurs got his signature with just 48-hours to the close of the January transfer window.
