The Sports Minister Mr. Sunday Dare has congratulated Blessing Okagbare on her recent feat at the Guinness Book of record.

Sunday Dare took to his Twitter account and wrote: Congratulations to Blessing Okagbare on her Guinness World Records debut. No doubt, one of Nigeria's finest.

The certificate which was presented to her reads : The Most appearances in Diamond League Meetings by an athlete is 67 and was achieved by Blessing Okagbare (Nigeria) between July 3, 2010 and 31, August 2018.

Okagbare who is arguably Nigeria's queen of track recently hit an impressive 7.10 seconds to win 60m event at the American track league which held on Sunday in Fayetteville, Akras.

She also ran 7.17 in the heat to equal her personal best before blazing to a new lifetime best to win the race ahead of Jamaica’s Christiana Williams (7.14) in a repeat of the first leg of the meeting last month at the same arena.
