The two-time heavy weight champion congratulated Nigerians on his twitter account for their protest on the ENDSARS, but things turned around.
Joshua wrote "Well done to all the Nigerians who have been protesting against SARS - those who made donations to fund organisations lobbying against it - those who have recently been informed & took time to educate themselves. Those with power to make change. Praying for Nigeria"
However, his tweet met with mixed reactions as attacks became predominant. So many felt Anthony Joshua was far away sending prayers, while his presence in the protest was needed.
Another group attacked AJ for not using the #ENDSARS Hashtag as a sign of solidarity. While some felt he has not done enough to support the protest and at such should not comment.
