CAF first Vice president and Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation Mr Amaju Pinnick has bowed to his boss Ahmad Ahmad in the ongoing 2019 AFCON tournament.
Two goals in both halves at the Alexandria Stadium ensured an ambitious Madagascar lifted the CAF President nation to the top of the group with 7 points, at the expense of a wingless Super Eagles side overseen by Pinnick.
CAF President Ahmad Ahmad must have sent message of his superiority over Pinnick in the clash, and also ensured Madagascar recorded their first ever victory against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The victory also makes a political statement as Ahmad now has one over the Nigerian., Pinnick happens to be the closest to him in the hierarchy of the CAF leadership.
Unfortunately, this result is coming as a big blow to Pinnick, who is trying to write his story and experience in his first ever AFCON as NFF boss, since assuming office in 2014.
On two consecutive occasions, the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the AFCON under Pinnick in 2015 and 2017 respectively. But in his first ever appearance, he bowed to his boss.
