Barcelona and Real Madrid will go head to head today as the two teams fight for the maximum points needed to remain top despite unrest in Catalonia.

Reports have confirmed that both teams will share the same hotel in the lead-up to today's game and travel at the same time two hours before kick-off amid security concerns.

As earlier proposal to switch the game to Madrid, was rejected by both teams.

The La Liga match was earlier scheduled to hold on 26 October, but was postponed because of fears of civil unrest in Catalonia. But information on ground still confirms there will be protest today.

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde who spoke on the issue said: "It is unlikely in a situation like this that the players will meet before the game, so I probably won't see Zidane, but I have a lot of respect for him."

Barcelona who are currently on top host Real Madrid at the Camp Nou in their 17 league match this season.

Both teams are tied on 35 points, but Barcelona remain on top with goal difference ahead of the clash.

Zinedine Zidane who is optimistic about his side said: "In games like this you've got to produce your best throughout the 90 minutes," said Zidane.

Zidane is the only manager who have remained unbeaten in El Classico at Camp Nou after four victories, and will be hoping to make it five today.

Both teams will be looking forward to get outright victory as they meet today.
