Jose Mourinho's hope of landing a silverware for Tottenham in Europe has officially come to an end, following a humiliating 3-0 defeat which RB Leipzig handed his side in their second-leg clash of the Champions League.

The defeat means the German side qualify on 4-0 aggregate after beating Tottenham 1-0 in their first-leg clash in England.

Tottenham who lost out in 5th round of the FA Cup to Norwich City via penalties have now lost their final opportunity of landing a silverware under Jose Mourinho.

Spurs will now be faced with the task of finishing top four, even though that task looks practically unrealistic going by what Tottenham have played lately in the league with the "Special One".

However, the fact that Tottenham are out of all major tournaments should give Mourinho ample time to concentrate on the premier league and at least aim at finishing top four, so as to justify his appointment following the sack of Pochettino.

With 9 matches left to end of season, Spurs who are 8th on the premier league table with 41 points must secure at least six victories to keep their hope of finishing top four alive.
