Manchester City humiliated Burnley three days after reaching the final of the league cup in a 5-0 win at the Etihad Stadium to keep their hopes of pursuing a quadruple under Pep Guardiola.

Gabriel Jesus opened scoring for City in the first-half but City had to wait till the second-half before three more goals came in 20 minutes and another own goal to seal the massive win.

The victory sees Pep Guardiola men chasing four titles for the second time in a row by January ending after reaching the final of the League Cup where they are expected to face Chelsea in the final.

Though Liverpool are currently on top of the premier league with four points adrift City, but City still remains potential title contender and will hoping that Klopp's men will drop some points to enable them push further.

In the champions league, City who finished top of their group will keep a date with Schalke 04 on Wednesday February 20 and will be hoping to continue their quest for a Europe conquer against the German side.
