19-year-old Ghanaian female dancer Esther Kumejina became the star during a Sports Day work-out exercise programme organized by members of the FUTO Alumni association Lagos Chapter.
The sports exercise took place on Saturday at the National Stadium in Lagos, with members of the FUTO Alumni come out en masse. The event was a work-out exercise ahead of their dinner which came up later in the evening.
However, the sound of music blast from their system attracted youthful music lovers and dancers who are not members of the alumni. The development set the pace for an emergency dance competition which thrilled the crowd inside the Stadium.
In the spirit of broad-mindedness, the Alumnites gave opportunity to the young talents to compete. But it was 19-year-old Esther Kumejina who stole the show, and thrilled the crowd with her skillful dancing steps.
Esther was good at every step she took. Not minding that she competed with Paul Ndu who happens to be a dance instructor. She exhibited high skills in what she enjoyed doing best.
Esther Kumejina and Paul Ndu were both good dancers. Making it a little bit difficult for the organizers to decide on who was a better dancer.
The duo had to be compensated equally by the FUTO Alumnites, when they discovered that it was even more difficult for the crowd to make a decision on who is eventual winner.
The crowd who gathered to cheer the dancers up were also appreciated by members of the FUTO Alumnites. They were generously given souvenirs for being a wonderful crowd.
While speaking with the Chairman of the FUTO Alumni Lagos Chapter Mr Collins Opara on the future of these talents, he confirmed that the association will organize a Music and comedy show soon.
