The newly sworn-in Caretaker Committee and entire membership of SWAN in Lagos State chapter has observed the utmost sincerity and genuinely express her gratitude to His Excellency's unique and unrivaled enthusiasm towards the rapid developments in Lagos, especially in the area of sports.

This was contained in a Press Release issued by the Secretary of the Caretaker Committee of the Lagos SWAN Ms. Olatutu Oladunni. The Release which further enumerated the visible accomplishment of His Excellency stated as follows:

Governor Sanwo-Olu's love for support and great vision has no doubt, made Lagos State not only the commercial and economic hub of the country, but also a successful sport hub., This has made Lagos become one of the most respected and relevant cities in the continent when it comes to Sports.

Since assuming office in 2018, Governor Sanwo-Olu's passion for sports before now made him include sports into the vision and mission mandate of sports development in Lagos State. This has led to the hosting of classic sporting events, ranging from, Athletics, Football, Basketball, Golf, Polo,Tennis, Volleyball etc...

Following the success of the just concluded Access Bank Lagos Marathon held in Lagos, in which Your Excellency, gave an impressive participation, we must say your presence, support, and brilliant performance at the marathon is highly commendable.

More so, the NBA Crossover unveiled recently in Lagos as Africa's first floating Basketball court display, which was held at ikoyi link bridge from 3rd to 5th February, and the donation of basketball courts in strategic locations like Ikorodu Recreational Park, via collaboration with Lagos State parks and Gardens Agency further speaks volume. This is in line with Governor Sanwo-Olu's commitment to provide an enabling environment for Lagosians to have easy access to sports facilities especially at the grassroot level and we say the profitable initiative is excellent.

Lagos SWAN CTC observes that sports in Lagos is no doubt taking a new dimension, as it also attracts foreign investors and reputable corporate bodies to collaborate for sponsorship of different sport events in Lagos.

Furthermore, hosting of the Aisha Buhari International football tournament which attracted the participation of athletes from many counties across the continent, has made Lagos State a metropolitan city of dreams for many international athletes. The situation induces them to come back as the atmosphere did not only make them realize their dreams, but also boost the spirit of sportsmanship among men and women in sports.

Hosting of several Super Eagles world Cup qualifiers, International Table Tennis Federation, ITTF championship, Lagos State Atheletics School Sports, among others, in Lagos are laudable achievements.

Therefore, SWAN Lagos, once again ,show their appreciation to his excellency as a loving and ever supportive Governor, for the great positive transformation in sports development.

While seeking your support towards making sure that the Lagos SWAN Caretaker Committee ensures a smooth and timely transition to a new executive, we appreciate Governor Sanwo-Olu's magnanimity for donating a white Hiace Bus to Lagos SWAN.
