A Nigerian-Norwegian based security expert Terence Odum has described Former Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo as a wise footballer.

Odum who spoke with Sports Intelligence Magazine from his base in Norway, described Ighalo's move to Manchester United as a planned work which had a good foundation.

"I have lived here for over 10 years". "I have seen the way Nigerian players come and fade out within a short time".

"Most Nigerian footballers who arrive Europe want to go straight to big clubs and earn big". "But that is not really necessary".

"As a Nigerian footballer, it is always good to start with smaller clubs and establish yourself". "Before thinking of going for a lucrative contract in a big club" he told Sports Intelligence Magazine.

"I was in Norway when Ighalo came to Lyn in Norway to play, from there he went on loan to Granada". "I am sure he had always wished to play for Manchester United then, but he did not let that bother him".

From Granada, he moved to Cesena before landing himself in Watford and headed for China before coming to United"

"But after playing and making himself a force to reckon with in football, Manchester United came for him". "Today its a dream come true"
