The trio of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea have set a new record to become the first teams in the premier league to jointly go unbeaten for twelve consecutive opener games. Since the inception of the premier league, no three teams have ever gone unbeaten in this manner but the three clubs have added their names to the history of the premier league to be part of this significant record. City defeated Manchester United on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium by 3-1 to maintain their top position with 32 points from twelve games having drawn only two games and won 10 since this season began. Liverpool lashed visiting Fulham 2-0 at Anfield to maintain their second position with 30 points from twelve matches, with nine wins and three draws which left them at 30 points. While Chelsea who drew Everton at Stamford Bridge on Sunday in a goalless draw encounter remained third on the table with 28 points from eight wins and four draws. One significant thing which the three teams all shared in common that have made them distinguish themselves this season was that they have not lost any match in the premier league this season for twelve consecutive matches. The men behind these three clubs (Pep Guardiola, Maurizio Sarri and Jurgen Klopp) must have done a great job to have kept their teams away from losing in such notable manners.
