The Bauchi State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has charged the state Governor Bala Muhammed to open up investigation on how the N100,000 cash bonus which the governor gave each of the players of Wikki Tourists for beating Nasarawa United was shared. The call for the probe was contained in a Press Release made available by the State Chapter and duly signed by the Chairman and secretary of the state SWAN Chapter Mahmud Yakubu Mohammed and Bala Bawaji respectively. The release after appreciating the governor went further to state: "However, the association is calling on the state government to investigate how the bonus given was shared". "This follows series of complain by a cross section of football lovers, who alleged that the money was shared inappropriately". Wikki Tourists beat Nasarawa United 2-0 on Sunday in the NPFL week 10 match to move to 6 position on the table with 16 points. It is their first victory against Nasarawa United since 2020 when they won by 1-0 on their home ground.
