The Nigeria Baseball and Softball Association (NBSA) has announced with heavy shock but with the total submission to the will of God, the death of their Acting President Alhaji Sani Sotonye.

Sotonye who passed on April 10, is the second death after the demise which hit NBSA in May 2021 where the association buried former President Dr. Williams Boyd. The sad news was broke yesterday by the Public Relations Officer of the Association Mr. Robert Onwukwe. Until his death, Alhaji Sani Sotonye was the 1st Vice President of the association before he became the Acting President following the death of the association's President last year. Despite his death coming as a surprise, he has been buried according to Muslim rites, while the cause of his death remain unknown. "He would be fondly remembered for his humour and frankness. We have missed all of his wishes to see the Association get better leadership" the statement reads.
