President of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria BFN Mr Francis Orbih has stated that there will be massive improvement in the next edition of the Championship.
Orbih who spoke with newsmen at the finals of the 5th Lagos International Badminton Classics Championship, said they had identified some areas that needs improvement.
Orbih started by saying " We will improve particularly in the area of logistics, timing for buses and shuttles, and movement of athletes and officials from Airport to hotels and venues"
The technocrat did not fail to add that visa issues where also a challenge. "This year we had an issue of issuing visas on arrival to some athletes and officials".
"We did not know on time that the immigration had changed the system, as applicants are now expected to apply online. This led to most of the participants spending much time at the airport and that was not really good". "So moving forward we are really going to do better in next edition".
Orbih who also stated that although the game was a good one, however regretted that some of these events started behind schedule and more will need to be done to improve in the next edition.
"Generally the event was good, but there is room for improvement and we will ensure to do that in the next edition" he concluded.
