West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has stated that his side will do City a favour by beating Liverpool when they come visiting on Monday night.

Pellegrini who was a former manager at City and also won the premier league title with the Etihad club in 2014 told BBC Sport of his plans to shock Liverpool.

The West Ham manager was quoted by BBC Sport to say: "If we win I will be very happy for our club first,". "We need a good performance against the leaders.

"After that, if we can give a hand to Manchester City, it's not our problem, but of course I am a fan of Manchester City also." the source quoted.

The former Manchester City boss also confirmed that Winston Reid who has been out for almost a year will not be back till the end of the season.
