The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be clashing with the Pharaohs of Egypt in group D when the 2021 AFCON tournament kicks off next year in Cameroon.

Also in their group is Sudan and Guinea-Bissau who will slug it out with the duo of Nigeria and Egypt who have jointly won the title 10 times. The duo of Egypt and Nigeria are favourites to scale through from the group, but they have to be careful about Sudan and Guinea-Bissau as there are no more minnows in African football. Host, Cameroon will take on Burkina Faso in the opening match of the event of Group A, and the duo will be joined by Ethiopia and Cape Verde Islands in the group. Senegal, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Guinea will all rumble in group B to seek for two teams to emerge, while Morocco, Ghana, Cosmoros Island and Gabon will clash in Group C. In Group E, reigning champions Algeria will tackle Sierra Leone, Equatorial Guinea and Cote d'Ivoire while Tunisia, Mali, Mauritania and Gambia will slug it out in Group F.
